Making CBD oil: An insight into our process
Before you hold your CBD product in your hands as a bottle or cream, it goes through various stages of production. In this blog post, we would like to inform you about the most important production steps of our organic CBD oil and take you on a little journey from cultivation to the sale of our CBD products.
Step 1: Cultivation and care
A first and important step in the production of CBD liquid or CBD oil is the selection of high-quality hemp plant seeds. Structure, appearance and smell play an important role. After the suitable seeds have been selected, the mother plant is grown, cared for and then reproduced.
We have a 20 hectare area available for growing the plants. The CBD plants mature there for 5 months before harvest. The cultivar is regularly monitored and cared for in order to obtain the best possible end product.
Step 2: Harvesting and processing
After the 5-month ripening process, the plants are picked using our fully automated harvesting machine. At this point, the plants are ripe and have the highest CBD content.
The flowers, stems and leaves of the plant are then carefully cut off. In the next step, the plants are prepared for the drying process.
Step 3: Drying and extraction
Under optimal conditions, the previously prepared organic CBD plants are carefully dried after harvesting using so-called tray dryers, which are drying chambers with a lift and heating system. It is important that the plants are 100% dry in order to optimally prepare them for the next process.
Next comes one of the most important steps in the CBD oil manufacturing process: extracting cannabis . In our production facility, we use a gentle CO2 extraction method to extract the entire plant spectrum of the hemp plant. This gives us a full-spectrum CBD oil that contains the full power of the hemp plant.
Step 4: Finishing
The next step is the refinement process. This begins with chromatography and analysis of the raw CBD extract in our in-house laboratory. These techniques can be used to determine the exact composition of the extract and ensure that it meets our high standards.
This step is important to ensure the purity and clarity of the final product, in keeping with our brand credo. The CBD extract is then diluted with a carrier oil to achieve the desired concentration.
Through these processes, we obtain a product with which we can subsequently produce and then market high-quality CBD creams and cosmetic oils.
Step 5: Selling
The fifth and final step is the sale of the CBD oils . Our products are made from pure and carefully selected active ingredients and are of high organic quality.
